Subscription Series

In 2011 Open View Gardens will offer several subscription series, classes, and items from my kitchen and garden for sale.  I am hoping to establish some sort of community garden-orchard space this year as well. The classes are on a sliding fee scale, the subscription series for the time being  (due to production costs) are set.

Winter-Spring 2011 Limited Subscription Series

Enroll by January 10, 2011

I’m excited to offer our jellies & elixirs, dried herbs & peppers alongside recipes, menus, and tips and lessons for gardener and cook.

Choose from one to six menus designed around Open View’s garden and kitchen, menus such as Woodland Feast and Moroccan Memories created to open and please palates, to give those of you interested a chance to taste the concoctions I make from our fruits and berries, vegetables and herbs, and to anchor those products within a meal that calls for celebration.  On any of the dates listed on the flyer, I will deliver (if you’re in Addison lavender treatsCounty, Vermont) or send a detailed menu and recipes with special tips and lessons I’ve learned along the way.  I’ll include tips for growing ingredients and preserving them.  Each menu’s recipes will arrive with two-four Open View Gardens ingredients/elixirs/concoctions ranging from dried herbs & peppers to jellies to to spiced fruit and ideas for using them beyond that menu.

I also offer lessons in putting up your garden bounty and in cooking the menus offered.

The number of subscriptions available has to do with the output of the 2010 garden and kitchen–some of the menus are quite limited in availability. One is available locally, only, due to the frozen nature of one key ingredient. So, if you’re interested, do sign up soon!

And do let me know what you think!
