Dear Ms. Ganley,
My wife Catherine met you today at a cheese making workshop and I realized that about a year ago I was trying to track you down in connection with the College’s Stone Mill. Last year I worked with three Middlebury students on a project interviewing dairy farmers about trapping and specifically about the owner-built boats they used. We ended up building a replica trapping boat in the Mill. I hope to continue this work with students in the fall and also expand this research in conjunction with the Henry Sheldon Museum.
