When Ofelia Barrios came to visit a few weeks ago and showed us how to make chiles rellenos and tostadas, she brought her friend Yanira Arias from El Salvador with her. Even though Yanira says she doesn’t cook very often, she still wanted to contribute to Open View Gardens and share a traditional dish from her country. In this video, Yanira shows us how to make Fresco de Ensalda, a refreshing drink made from fresh, tropical fruits including mango, orange, pineapple and apple, with the optional addition of the fruit of the cashew tree or memey, if you can get a hold of them.

Great and delicious !!!!
Yanira you say that you don´t cook everyday…. my goodness….. if you would do it, you could be the owner of one of the famous restaurants of the country! You really did it as an expert.
I really love fruits as you, thank you very much for sharing the Fresco de Ensalada receipe. I will try to follow your instructions to drink that fresco.
Congratulations Yanira and thank you Elizabeth for posting that video, it´s amazing what you do!
